b) Service Data: The topics, industry keywords, and prompts you provide to generate content.
c) Technical Data: IP addresses, browser types, and usage logs automatically collected when you interact with our website to ensure security and monitor performance.

3. How We Use Your Information (Purpose and Legal Basis)
We process your data strictly for the following purposes:
— To provide our core service (publishing trend-based content to your LinkedIn profile/page), based on the performance of our contract with you.
— To maintain and secure your account, preventing unauthorized access.
— To improve our services and analyze user interactions (legitimate interest).
We do not use your personal profile data for automated profiling or targeted advertising.

4. How We Store and Protect Your Data
a) Storage: Your personal data and OAuth access tokens are stored on secure, encrypted cloud servers.
b) Security: We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures (including TLS/SSL encryption) to protect your data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, or unauthorized disclosure.
c) Passwords: We NEVER collect, see, or store your LinkedIn account passwords. Authentication is handled entirely through LinkedIn’s secure OAuth 2.0 protocol.

5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide our services.
— OAuth Access Tokens: Stored securely and used only while your connection is active. If you revoke access or delete your TrendPost account, these tokens are immediately deleted from our databases.
— Content Logs: Generated posts and prompts are kept temporarily to provide you with a history of your activity and are deleted upon account closure.

6. Third-Party AI and Search Integrations
To deliver trend analysis and content generation, TrendPost integrates with specialized third-party services:
— OpenAI (ChatGPT): Used for structuring and generating post text.
— Perplexity and Tavily: Used for searching and analyzing real-time market trends.
Data Minimization: We only send necessary contextual data (e.g., industry topics, requested keywords) to these APIs. We DO NOT share your personal identity (name, LinkedIn URL, email) with these AI providers. Furthermore, we prohibit these third-party AI services from using your submitted prompts to train their public models.

7. LinkedIn API Compliance
Our application uses the LinkedIn API and complies strictly with the LinkedIn API Terms of Use. We do not sell, rent, or transfer your LinkedIn data to any external data brokers or third-party marketers under any circumstances.

8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location (e.g., under the GDPR or CCPA), you have the right to:
— Access the personal data we hold about you. — Request correction of inaccurate data.
— Request erasure of your data («Right to be forgotten»).
